A wider rural vision.
LEODOME was designed for Africa and its people, with the realities of rural life at the centre: difficult terrain, hard-to-reach communities and electricity that is not always available or reliable. These challenges shape our approach to communications, with affordability and reliability at the heart of our design.
Our purpose is to connect the unconnected. Rooted in Africa, that vision extends to underserved rural areas worldwide, including South America. We aim to make connectivity affordable and bring applications, digital services and everyday opportunities closer to people who have been left out of the digital world.

Education is central to LEODOME’s purpose. Connectivity can bring learning within reach of people who have struggled to access books and other resources. It can also open a window onto what is happening in the world, introducing new ideas, perspectives and possibilities.
Our hope is for every child in Africa to have the opportunity to discover their potential and become the best they can be. We want to help people learn, find inspiration and make informed choices about their own futures.
Our plans also include bringing mobile phones to people who have not had them, alongside education to help new users build confidence with digital technology.

Local entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurship is built into LEODOME’s business model. Our intention is to create business opportunities for small entrepreneurs across Africa, so that local people can take part in bringing connectivity to their communities.
Our planned entrepreneurial network will give local sellers the opportunity to earn commissions by selling Leo Fuel, LEODOME’s connectivity voucher. Alongside them, our partners across Africa will help distribute LEODOME products—bringing services closer to communities and supporting local enterprise.
